How to install a plugin on WordPress (WordPress Plugins)

  1. You can directly download any plugin on your WordPress site. To do this open WP-ADMIN dashboard. On the left side, click on Plugins.
  2. Click on Add New. On the search box on the right side, type the name of the plugin you wish to install on your WP site.
  3. Click on the Install button. After Installing, click on Activate.

You can also download the plugin from WordPress.org and install it on your WP site.

  1. Open the page of the plugin on WordPress.org. For example, for Yoast SEO plugin, open https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/.
  2. Click on the Download button. The Plugin will be downloaded in ZIP format. Now on your WP-ADMIN dashboard, go to plugins.
  3. Click on Add New and then click on Upload. Now, browse for the plugin you downloaded and select it. It should be in ZIP format only.
  4. Now click on the Activate button. The plugin should be Activated.
