How I gave the name Informer Fox

To create a perfect website, we need a perfect name. I was thinking a lot about giving a good name to the site but I didn’t get a perfect name. Then I consulted my friend, but still, I got no solution. I wanted to give a short name to the site but when I tried to register the domain, it was too costly.

So short name for the site was not the solution. Finally, an idea came to my mind that I should name this site Informer Fox. As this name is new and not used by anyone.

// Informer here means someone who Informs. Here, Fox means me (myself). Here I am the Fox which provides you the information about certain topics.

I would have given some names like Tech Info (name) or Rushi Tech but there are millions of blogs on the internet with similar names. I also wanted to do something different. So I came up with Informer Fox as the name for my site.

About me – Rushikesh Thawale

Starting from the Childhood

I am connected to computers since my childhood itself. When I was 4 years old, My father died because of cancer. So, I and my mom stayed at my mom’s childhood home. So I grew up there and was educated from there.

My maternal uncle had a computer training institute in 1999 and as I lived there since my childhood, I am so connected with the computer world. I started using computers and the internet at the age of 5.

At the age of 8, when I was in 4th Grade, I’ve had passed a state-level certificate ‘computer exam’ called MS-CIT. When I told people about this, it was too surprising for them as passing MS-CIT at the age of 8 was a big thing at that time. Even many adults were not able to pass this exam at that time.

I have learned MS OFFICE, COREL DRAW, ADOBE PHOTOSHOP, ADOBE PAGEMAKER, and many software there. I have also learned languages like HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, C, and C++.

At this age, I even used to teach adults/grownups some basic things like MS Office or ‘How to use Windows/Computer’, etc.

I have passed 10th Grade with 95.20% (100/100 in Maths) from Maharashtra State Board (MSBSHSE).

After that, I got 85% in 12th Grade. I started professional blogging till this point.

I lost some marks in 12th Grade just because of my over-confidence and lack of studies/revision after lectures. I studied for the exams for just about a month and got 85% (not an excuse, I deserved it).

Under-Graduate studies

I’ve had an interest in programming since my childhood. So, I wanted to pursue engineering in Computer Science. So I started preparing for the JEE and CET exams.

Though I got about 80+ marks in JEE Mains, I qualified for JEE Advanced. About one million students in India compete for the top 10,000 seats with JEE.

When I gave JEE Advanced, I realized that competing with about 1.3 Million (super hardworking) students is not my cup of tea (as I am smart xD).

As I focused more on JEE, I scored less in CET, it was too difficult for me to get admission to a good college near me for CS. If you are in Maharashtra State, you know that it is too difficult to get admission on the basis of JEE marks. Here, CET marks are preferable.

Still, I decided to have a gap of one year and repeat the exam. After sitting at home for two days, I felt that Is it right to repeat the exam and waste one year?

Suddenly my mom suggested that I should take admitted to a private college affiliated with Nagpur University instead of wasting my time (I still thank her for that).

When I went there, there were no seats left for Computer Engineering (The only field I wanted – CS/CE/CT/IT). So I had to take admission to the Information Technology branch, as I had no choice and couldn’t choose any other branch either (I only do things I like).

Update: I passed my undergraduate studies with flying colors. Just like 10th & 12th, I scored ‘Distinction’ in B.E. (IT) from RTMNU with an 8.85 CGPA!

Interest in Websites

I am surfing the internet since the age of 5. I love surfing the internet and discovering new things. One day, in 2007, I was searching the internet for “How to create a website for free”, and I came up with various websites like Ucoz, Google Sites, etc

It was fun to create websites and share them on Facebook and Orkut. Later, in about 2011, I discovered Blogger.com and I used this platform for a long time. At that time I had no knowledge of WordPress, hosting, and related stuff.

I have used Blogger a lot and created a lot of blogs with it. I had no knowledge of “Real Blogging” and websites. I just created blogs and then copy-pasted content from various sites to my blogs. I did not understand the real meaning of blogging and just posted things.

I started my first professional website TechInfoBlog.org. Before it, I created a lot of websites but this was the greatest among all them.

My first website with a Top Level Domain

In 2015, I started TechInfoBlog.org. I had almost no real knowledge of blogging and used copyrighted and copied content on TechInfoBlog.org.

Thus, I did not get a lot of success from TechInfoBlog.org. Though, I earned almost $4 using various ad networks. Finally, I dug deep into blogging and got some real insights.

Then I created some blogs as I became passionate. I started writing about education and technology. Then I came up with a lot of things by searching on the Internet.

WordPress: The best thing that happened to me on the Internet

While searching about blogging on the Internet, I became aware of WordPress. Still, I was afraid of using it because I had no idea about it and initially it was difficult to use it.

I started using social media and joined groups related to blogging and then got real knowledge about how it all works! It was pretty exciting to me.

On 20th July 2017, I purchased hosting and domain and created this site InformerFox.com.

InformerFox.com: The next big thing

I started InformerFox.com as a passion and I work regularly to keep this website updated and provide good and valuable information and reviews.

I will also help and guide other bloggers. If you want some help regarding Blogging, WordPress, or Hosting, feel free to ask me on Facebook and Twitter.
